Did you know that 4 in 10 Barbadian students struggle with reading?

Reading is much more than saying words on a page. Children need a strong foundation in several key literacy skills to become confident, successful readers. When one of these areas is weak, reading can become more difficult and may impact academic performance and confidence in the classroom.

Our Back to Basics Reading Camp is designed to help children develop the essential building blocks of reading through engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a supportive environment.

• Phonemic Awareness – Hearing and identifying sounds in words

• Vocabulary – Understanding the meaning of words

• Fluency – Reading smoothly, accurately, and confidently

• Comprehension – Understanding and interpreting what is read

Perfect For Children Who:

• Struggle with reading

• Lack confidence when reading

Fees

Registration Fee: $35

Includes camp shirt and learning materials.

Camp Fee: $125 per week

Sandwiches, snacks and beverages on sale. Tours are additional.
